Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is hiring a Production Technician I for its New Carlisle, IN facility. You will operate and maintain production equipment, perform rounds, sample water, load trucks, and execute PMs with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work a 12-hour rotating schedule. Preferred is a technical degree with 2+ years of related experience; training opportunities

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work extended hours/shift work as business needs dictate.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Not Afraid of Heights.
  • Work in all weather conditions.
  • Technical Associates degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of technical training or operations experience.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, rotating equipment and piping systems.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants (PSM, EPA, FDA, state/local).
  • Lockout/isolating equipment methods; basic computer use with Office software.
  • Team oriented with self-motivation and good communication.

Responsibilities

  • Safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of AMG production facilities.
  • Maintain plant production and operating efficiency in collaboration with ROCC.
  • Follow SOPs and safety policies; perform inspections and permits as required.
  • Identify maintenance needs and enter work orders in Maximo.
  • Perform operator rounds, water samples, truck loading, and preventive maintenance.
  • Keep accurate records and support high housekeeping standards.
