Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. is seeking a hands-on role focused on safety, maintenance and operational reliability in our North American operations.

You will multitask across mechanical tasks, perform inspections, and address plant safety and environmental requirements while ensuring quality standards. The role involves troubleshooting based on test results, reporting accurately, and supporting process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Must follow safety policies and perform field level risk assessments.
  • Identify and correct environmental issues noted during daily shift operations.
  • Provide troubleshooting and process change recommendations based on test results.
  • Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and correct safety issues; perform field level risk assessments; perform duties in a safe manner abiding by plant safety policies.
  • Identify and correct environmental issues noted during daily shift operations.
  • Provide troubleshooting and process change recommendations based on test results.
  • Comply with all company safety and environmental requirements.
  • Perform shift and pre-start inspections and address safety or maintenance issues on equipment.
  • Ensure quality parameters are maintained in accordance with Amrize and ASTM guidelines.
  • Complete all reports with accuracy.
  • Measure silos as needed.
  • Identify issues using root cause analysis and correct them.
  • Maintain raw material flow in hoppers, tanks and feeders; report any material flow problems that could adversely impact the manufacturing process.
  • Clean around raw material hoppers, coke tunnel and finish mill feeders as needed.
  • Work any shift, including weekends and paid holidays as schedules dictate.
  • Use safe work practices and report hazardous conditions as encountered.

About the Role

Additional Requirements
  • Preferred Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Additional Education Preferred: Associate's degree.
  • Commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). Workers required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass fit tests.
