MSA Safety in Cranberry Township is seeking a 3rd shift assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will follow established procedures to assemble and rework moderately complex products and sub-assemblies, set up instruments, and perform wiring and soldering tasks.

The role requires 2–3 months of Bacharach HVAC-R manufacturing experience and a high school diploma. You will read drawings, operate measuring devices, use SAP, and work overtime with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 months of hands on Bacharach HVAC-R manufacturing experience required.
• Length of time required to become proficient on the job, producing work of acceptable quality and quantity is from 6-9 months.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Following predetermined procedures to assemble, modify and rework moderately complex products and/or sub‑assemblies including set‑up of moderately complex instruments and/or sub‑assemblies requiring wiring, soldering and connecting.
• Following predetermined test procedures and performing minor troubleshooting at the assembly level to ensure proper operation of the instruments.
• Packing products and accessories according to customer specifications.
• Visual inspection and performing minor repairs.
• Adherence to safety, housekeeping and quality standards as they relate to production and the company’s objective is required.
• Maintaining production goals through productivity targets and cost containment by eliminating waste.
• Completing and maintaining relevant paperwork and inputs information in the computer system.

Responsibilities

3rd Shift - 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM with 20 minute paid lunch and two breaks.

Starting Hourly Rate: $22.90/hr plus $1.00/hr Shift Differential.

Grade 130.

Ability to:

• Read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
• Understand standard units of measure.
• Set‑up and interpret results of various measuring devices.
• Perform standard software operations including SAP.
• Sometimes lift, carry, push and pull up to 30 pounds without assistance.
• Use power and hand tools, and ability to use custom tooling.
• Regularly perform fine finger and hand activity / steady hand required.
• Effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporaries.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Organize and prioritize work.
• Work overtime as required.

Experience Preferred:

• Past soldering experience.
• Bacharach HVAC‑R product experience.
