Job summary

WCCTV is seeking a Production Technician I - Camera Repair to troubleshoot, repair, test, program, assemble, and inspect surveillance cameras and subassemblies. You will ensure quality standards and help meet production schedules while driving continuous improvement in Repair and Production.

Responsibilities include diagnosing failures, repairing cameras, wiring and soldering, and documenting all repair activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of electronics repair or related experience.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Ability to read schematics and assembly drawings.

Position Summary

The Production Technician I - Camera Repair is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, testing, programming, assembling, and inspecting electronic surveillance camera products and related subassemblies. This role ensures all products meet established quality standards, specifications, and production schedules while supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the Repair and Production department.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, disassemble, and reassemble surveillance cameras in accordance with established quality standards and production requirements.
• Perform functional testing, verification, and quality inspections to ensure repaired and assembled products meet specifications and performance expectations.
• Analyze test failures, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and verify successful resolution of issues.
• Assemble electronic and electro-mechanical products and subassemblies by following assembly drawings, work instructions, and workmanship standards.
• Perform wiring, cable preparation, component installation, and hand soldering activities as required.
• Program, configure, and verify the functionality of analog and IP surveillance camera systems.
• Complete repair records, testing documentation, service reports, and other production-related documentation accurately and timely.
• Cross-train and develop skills across multiple departments to increase operational flexibility and support business needs.
• Support field installations, equipment service activities, trailer readiness inspections, and operational initiatives as needed.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment while adhering to all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical school, vocational training, or associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in electronics repair, electro-mechanical assembly, field service, manufacturing, or a related technical environment.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Working knowledge of electronic components, wiring, soldering techniques, and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, technical manuals, and work instructions.
• Familiarity with analog and IP-based camera systems, networking fundamentals, and device configuration is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Proficiency with computers and standard software applications used for documentation, testing, and reporting.
• Strong communication, teamwork, adaptability, and customer‑focused service skills.
