Job summary

Continental Plastic Corporation in Wisconsin is seeking a Production Technician/Back up Material Handler for the 1st shift (5:00 AM–3:00 PM, Mon–Thu). This role supports setup, operation, monitoring, and preventive maintenance of production machines to ensure quality output.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of machine operating experience, preferably in extrusion, with basic skills in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Inspect parts to specifications and adjust tools as needed.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and production orders.

Production Technician/Back up Material Handler (1st Shift 5:00AM-3:00PM M-Th)

Responsibilities

• Perform various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, clean, and complete preventive maintenance on assigned machines.
• Set up and operate single or multiple production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
• Check machine output and identify any issues.
• Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications.
• Inspect parts to specifications and make adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and production orders to perform required tasks.

Successful Candidates Will Possess The Following

• Education, training, and experience equivalent to a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 months of machine operating experience (preferably in extrusion) in an industrial setting. Coursework should be supplemented with mechanical systems. Possess a basic knowledge level of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Must possess a solid knowledge and understanding of the principles and methods involved in machining processes and applicable safety and OSHA requirements.
• Must possess the ability to build positive team relationships and achieve outcome-oriented objectives; working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (LEAN Enterprise) with a holistic viewpoint.
• Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, setting priorities and managing time effectively and the ability to work independently, managing job orders and deadlines while maintaining an awareness of other business dependencies, when completing assigned duties.
