Job summary

Essity AB is seeking a dedicated production operator for our Dover, DE facility. You will operate and monitor a production line, follow fixed specifications and SOPs, and work with the shift team to maintain safe, efficient production.

The role requires a high school diploma and a willingness to learn. Training is provided, with overtime and weekends as needed, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Entry-level experience in production or manufacturing is acceptable or willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Basic math and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production line to ensure safety and quality.
  • Follow fixed specifications and SOPs to sustain efficient output.
  • Communicate with Team Leader and operators to coordinate tasks.
  • Load raw materials and prepare products for palletizing.
  • Complete production documentation and data logs.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Assist teammates and support smooth production flow.
  • Perform quality checks and reject items not meeting specs.

About the Role

Operating in safety a production line for manufacturing products according to fixed specifications and standard operating procedures. As member of the shift team is responsible for the performance of the machine. The operator Intermediate has the skills to undertake the tasks needed to operate/ sustain efficiently the equipment/process.

What You Will Do

Works within Essity safety standards, with responsibility for personal and others' safety.

Run and monitor your machine to keep production flowing, making adjustments as needed using Essity Continuous Improvement Systems.

Work closely with your Team Leader and skilled operators whenever support or guidance is needed.

Prepare and load raw materials or finished products for palletizing, following our Standard Operating Procedures.

Maintain strong communication with both the previous and next shift, as well as all team members involved in running the machine.

Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe at all times.

Support teammates with operating tasks and contribute to a smooth, efficient production flow.

Ensure top-notch product quality by performing regular checks and rejecting or blocking items that don’t meet specifications.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Accurately complete all required production documentation and data logs.

Who You Are

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Entry‑level experience - 1‑3 year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, or no prior experience but a willingness to learn.

Strong communication, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.

Basic mathematical, computer literacy skills.

Ability to lift and frequently stand, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.

Quick learner.

Be able to work overtime, flexible hours, and weekends, as needed or required.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting pay: $19.53 per hour + full benefits.
Compensation increases after successful completion of on‑the‑job training.
