Job Description

PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN--3rd Shift
This hourly position ensures that customers receive a quality die cast product by performing accurate and timely procedures for casting die and trim press setups, changeovers, and sleeve changes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Participates in casting die press setups, changeovers and sleeve changes.
  2. Ensures that cell is completely set up and ready for production.
  3. Stays aware of customer quality requirements and assists Group Leads in analyzing die problems and preparing the tool cart.
  4. Performs general maintenance and maintains correct fluid levels, media, tools and supplies for all equipment.
  5. Assists the Group Lead as required to minimize downtime.
  6. Performs floor work activities necessary to keep an orderly flow of production without unnecessary interruptions.
  7. Assists Group Lead and Trim Lead as needed to maintain production, including relieving for breaks, lunch, etc.
  8. Performs safety audit and proactively leads safety on the floor.
  9. Maintains regular and punctual attendance, in accordance with scheduled work hours, and overtime (OT) as assigned.
  10. Meets all physical and environmental requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Certifications/Licenses: Powered Industrial Truck License.

Experience: One year related experience in casting and/or trim.
