Production Technician - 2nd Shift

Reports To: Operations Supervisor
Pay Rate: $17-$19 per hour, non‑exempt, with opportunities for overtime, holiday, and shift differential pay.
Position Summary
Manufacture and package spin disks using various machines while following the assigned work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain all manufacturing equipment with proper training.
- Maintain and record accurate records, including machine performance and product samples.
- Assist in the daily equipment setup for any machine as needed.
- Attend and participate in designated shift huddles.
- Ensure that production rates and quality standards are being met and address any issues impeding progress.
- Transport product using pallet jacks and carts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; high school chemistry or general chemical handling work experience is preferred.
- Good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Good judgment, decision‑making, and troubleshooting skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and work overtime as needed.
- Must be able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills are a must; the position requires communication with other production personnel, Research and Development, and Quality Control.
- Individuals must be focused on tasks and not easily distracted.
- Ability to wear chemical cartridge respirator or equivalent.
- Must be able to transport up to 40 lbs. – 50 lbs.
Shift Schedule
2nd Shift, Monday – Friday, 3:00 p.m. – 11:15 p.m.
Environmental Factors and Physical Demands
- Work indoors in a humidity‑ and temperature‑controlled environment.
- Requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, reaching, climbing step ladders, transporting up to 40 lbs.–50 lbs., handling loaded pallet jacks, and operating various equipment.
- Requires mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, communication, judgment, decision‑making, troubleshooting skills, ability to multi‑task and attention to detail.
