Job summary

Axalta is hiring a Production Technician (Chemical Mixing) for 2nd and 3rd shifts in High Point, NC. The role starts on 1st shift for training and then moves to 2nd shift after training completion. Candidates must pass background checks and drug screens, with a focus on safety and quality in a chemical manufacturing setting.

The wage starts at $22.50 per hour with a $1.25 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a plant or manufacturing environment.
• Forklift experience is a plus, but not required; training will be provided.
• Chemicals experience is a huge plus.

IMPORTANT: CANDIDATE WILL TRAIN ON 1’ST SHIFT, BUT AFTER BEING FULLY TRAINED, WILL MOVE TO 2’nd SHIFT

• Set up, operate, or tend machines to mix or blend ingredients to make products by performing the following (but not limited to) duties.
• Regulate machines, operate equipment and mix or blend ingredients according to formulation batch cards accurately to meet production and/or inventory levels.
• Maintain highest level of quality at all times.
• Collect samples from batch for laboratory testing.
• Responsible to clean machine and workstation after each job.
