Job summary

Ultra-Poly Corporation is seeking Production Technicians to operate and troubleshoot production lines, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with line changeovers. The role blends hands-on machine operation with basic mechanical troubleshooting to keep the line running smoothly.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined with experience in plastics processing, safety-first mindset, and ability to work 12-hour shifts in a non-climate-controlled plant.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in industrial manufacturing with mechanical maintenance on production equipment.
• Knowledge of extrusion and size-reduction equipment; ability to read drawings/manuals.
• Proficient with hand/power tools and precise measurement methods.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting (480V 3-phase, VFD, PLC faults).
• Welding/fabrication skills are a plus; formal training in maintenance/plastics tech; LOTO safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot production line equipment; assist with preventive maintenance.
• Perform line startups/shutdowns and changeovers; monitor quality checks.
• Enforce safety rules and participate in incident reporting and investigations.
• Train operators on equipment operation, quality checks and safe practices.
• Coordinate with maintenance for more complex repairs; document maintenance records.
