Job summary

Aviation Welding Technologies, LLC is seeking a skilled technician to repair components using electric and air-powered hand tools. You will measure parts with calipers and micrometers, reference OEM prints, and follow established guidelines to ensure precise repairs.

Experience in auto body or mechanical work is a plus. You may also fabricate fixtures and maintain industrial machines, contributing to a wide range of aerospace welding projects.

Qualifications

Description
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:
  • Restore components by operating electric/air powered hand tools.
  • Measure, examine, and test completed parts in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Uses OEM prints and design sketches to ensure proper outcome of repair.
  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • May also fabricate to modify fixtures and maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal working, layout, grit blasting and cleaning procedures.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands:

Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 20 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
