Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Production Technician to support unloading of non-hazardous solids waste-derived fuel at the Dorchester, SC facility. The role includes receiving, shredding, blending and loading within a Safety-first culture.

You will help ensure the fuel mix meets cement kiln specifications, perform basic equipment operation and maintenance, and participate in on-the-job training to broaden skills. This is a full-time on-site role with rotating shifts and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in an industrial manufacturing or processing environment preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Unload non-hazardous solids waste-derived fuel safely and efficiently.
• Assist in receiving, shredding, blending and loading during shifts.
• Contribute to producing a cement kiln-ready fuel blend meeting specs.
• Maintain regulatory, health, safety and housekeeping standards.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs when maintenance is not available.
• Participate in training to broaden technical and non-technical skills.
• Identify hazards and follow PPE protocols.
• Work with cross-functional teams and flexible shifts, including weekends.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Performs various tasks associated with the safe and efficient unloading of non-hazardous solids waste derived fuel accepted at the facility.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

Performs various tasks associated with the safe and efficient unloading of non hazardous solids wastederived fuel accepted at the facility.

Be part of a team carrying out routine operations, such as receiving, shredding, blending and loadingduring a specific shift.

Participates in activities to ensure the production of a fuel blend that meets the cement kiln specifications.

Ensures that facility activities are done in a manner that maintains regulatory compliance, health andsafety excellence and high housekeeping standards.

Performs minor mechanical repairs when maintenance support is not available.

Ensures that facility operations are executed in accordance within established policies and procedures.

Participates in formal and on| the –job training programs to acquire/broaden both technical and non-technical job skills; participates in cross training activities.

Utilizes systems and resources to identify and control hazards.

Suggests programs that reduce/contain costs and/or increase productivity. Takes independent action toresolve problems when appropriate.

Applies skills and performs work in other positions as assigned.

Able to work rotating shifts and weekends as assigned.

Able to work independently.

Performs all Mix-Pit Process Line responsibilities including: placing/scanning/opening drums; operatingprocessing equipment; removing empty drums; loading totes; compacting empty totes; loading shredder;stacking empty pallets; unloading bulk trucks; housekeeping.

Performs all Mixing and Loading responsibilities including:

Operating back hoe/track hoe/tractors/dump trailers; maintaining equipment; loading outbound dumptrailer loads; sampling bulk trucks for QA/QC; unloading bulk trucks into mix pit; assisting driver withwashing out trailers; housekeeping.

Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education: High School diploma/GED
Required Work Experience: 1 year experience in an industrial manufacturing or processing environment preferred
Licenses Preferred: Valid Driver’s License
Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic knowledge

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
