Job summary

Overwatch Imaging is seeking a Production Technician to assemble optical and electronic components, cables, and harnesses while following precise drawings and instructions. The role includes inspecting products, recording quality data, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace in a fast-growing startup environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on manufacturing experience, strong reading of technical drawings, and familiarity with lean processes and ISO standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing or production.
  • IPC certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronics assembly, tools, and safety practices.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and ISO standards.

Production Technician at Overwatch Imaging

Overwatch Imaging is an imagery intelligence technology company working to bring sensor autonomy to time-critical airborne search, detection,trackingand monitoring missions. Our Automated Sensor Operator (ASO) software, native to our own line of purpose-built Smart Sensors and as an upgrade for airborne video gimbal platforms, bringsSuperhuman VisionandWorkload Reductionto users of real-time imagery intelligence systems. About this Role
WhatYou’lldo:
  • Assemble optical and electronic components using hand tools or power tools.
  • Assemble cable harness assemblies.
  • Follow technical drawings or work instructions.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and compliance with standards.
Quality Control
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections.
  • Record data from quality checks and report deviations to supervisors or QA.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to meet 5S/lean manufacturing standards.
Documentation
  • Complete production logs, batch records, or digital tracking systems.
  • Report any defects, delays, or unsafe conditions.
  • Maintainaccuraterecords for inventory and material usage.
  • Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Assistin process improvement initiatives or lean manufacturing events.
Required Education and Experience:
Education:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate degree in electronics or technical certification preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • IPC certification preferred
Experience and Technical Competence:
  • Familiarity with electronics assembly, tools, and safety practices
  • Experience with quality control procedures and inspection techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or work instructions
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and ISO standards
