Job summary

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

  • Operate 12-hour rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment.
  • Start up and shut down equipment, monitor operating parameters.
  • Perform valve line-ups accurately and safely.
  • Prepare equipment for maintenance including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
  • Safely issue and manage permits for maintenance work.
  • Exercise sound judgment to operate safely, reliably and efficiently.
  • Assist with procedure development and training of new employees.
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers as needed.
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment and processes.
  • escalate issues to senior specialists as needed.
  • Maintain safety and operational excellence; show initiative and dependability.

  • You will work 12-hour rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operating environment
  • Start up and shut down equipment and processes, as well to monitor and adjust equipment and plant process operating parameters
  • Further, you will perform valve line‑ups accurately and safely
  • Prepare equipment for maintenance activities, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
  • Safely issue and manage permits for maintenance work
  • And you will exercise sound judgment to operate the facility safely, reliably, and efficiently
  • Assist with procedure development and train new employees
  • Communicate effectively with customers and suppliers as needed
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on equipment and processes
  • Recognize when issues require escalation to more experienced specialists
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence
  • Demonstrate initiative, dependability, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving
What makes you great
  • You have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • More than two (2+) years of production operations experience, or an Associate Degree with previous plant operations internship experience
  • Strong interest in and hands‑on experience with electrical and mechanical systems
  • You have working knowledge of computers and common software applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office programs
  • Proficiency using hand tools, meters, instrument calibration equipment, and related tools
  • Working knowledge of electricity, electrical systems, and motors
  • You have ability to climb ladders and stairs, work at heights, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Associate Degree or higher is preferred
