Job summary

Adient US LLC in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a production assembler to build finished products from sub-assemblies, parts and fasteners according to customer specifications and Adient's operating documents.

The role requires following SOPs, checking stock, maintaining a safe work environment, performing 5S, and assisting with line adjustments. You will report safety concerns, participate in plant meetings, and work as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble finished products using sub-assemblies, parts and fasteners per specifications.
• Perform quality checks and follow assembly procedures.
• Check stock bins for adequate supplies.
• Verify carton packs and report shortages.
• Maintain clean, safe working environment and perform 5S daily.
• Report unsafe conditions and participate in safety initiatives.
• Support AMS objectives and participate in meetings and training.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Assembles finished product using sub‑assemblies, parts and fasteners according to customer specification sheet and Adient's ODSs.
• Checks standard operating procedures to determine required assembly, quality checks and any special options.
• Checks stock bins for adequate supplies of sub‑assemblies, parts and fasteners for the particular run.
• Verifies designed carton pack and notifies material handler if shortages exist or incorrect parts are in bins.
• Checks operating controls and safety stops on conveyor.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and sub‑assemblies per customer order.
• Resolves assembly and packing problems and reports other issues to maintenance or supervisor.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment in line with company policy.
• Performs 5S cleanup activities daily.
• Evaluates color accurately.
• Abides by the company handbook regarding safety rules and job rotations.
• Reports unsafe conditions, participates in safety and ergonomic committees, Kaizen events, blue‑sky initiatives, safety audits and observation feedback events.
• Assists the plant in achieving safety goals and maintaining Adient Manufacturing System (AMS) objectives.
• Participates in plant‑wide meetings, line meetings, department meetings and training exercises.
• Follows and promotes environmental management system compliance and commitment to resource conservation.
• Pulls trim and metal carts to the specified line.
• Distinguishes between different trim and foam components.

Ability to lift and/or carry 50 lbs. repeatedly.
