Job summary

A manufacturing company in Rochester, Michigan is seeking assembly workers to perform duties related to assembly activities and production order reviews. The ideal candidates will follow drawings and production documentation, learn the assembly process through on-the-job training, and inspect completed work to ensure quality. Experience with tools and machines is a plus.

Job description

Primary Responsibilities

• Assembly activities to provided drawings and instructions, cutting activities per product requirements, material handling activities, etc.
• 2. Reviews Production orders to certain specifics for Dress Pack and/or cable production and parts required.
• 3. Follows provided drawings, production documents, pick sheets, shipping documents and all other necessary documentation provided.
• 4. Expected to learn all aspects of Dress Pack and/or cable assembly using work instructions and on the job training.
• 5. Inspects and measures completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications using instruments such as fixed gauges, tape measures, calipers or any other tools necessary.
• 6. May operate controls and guides to adjust machines as trained.
• 7. Contact Supervisor if needed to replace worn machine accessories, such as cutting tools or fixtures etc.
• 8. May be required to use tools and power tools.
• 9. Other duties/projects as assigned.
