Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Production Technician at the Theodore Cement Plant in Alabama. This role supports multiple areas with various industrial equipment on a rotating shift schedule. You will learn gantry crane operation for unloading fuels and raw materials and troubleshoot production issues to keep processes running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma/GED and 2-4 years of industrial experience, plus a valid driver’s license and a strong safety mindset. Travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• 2-4 years industrial experience preferred (5-10 years acceptable).
• Must possess a valid driver's license and strong safety awareness.
• Good understanding of cement manufacturing basics and ability to learn new equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate various heavy equipment to support production.
• Learn to operate a gantry crane for unloading vessels carrying fuels and raw materials.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain compliance with ISO environmental and quality standards and housekeeping.
• Promote safety and environmental policies across all work areas.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position will work in various areas using various industrial equipment to provide a smoothand safe operation. Position works on a rotating shift schedule.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Ensure compliance with ISO environmental and quality standards, and housekeeping. Maintain high workstandards.
• Ability to operate various heavy equipment.
• Will be required to learn how to operate a gantry crane for unloading vessels caring fuels and rawmaterials
• Troubleshoot production issues and take appropriate corrective actions.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required Education: High School diploma/GED

Required Work Experience: 2-4 years industrial experience, prefer 5-10 years experience.

Travel Requirements: Less than 10%

Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic computer skills

Additional Requirements:

• A good understanding of the basics of the cement manufacturing process is preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• High degree of safety awareness
• Initiative; ability to learn; team player; and strong communication/interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and ability to work with minimum direct supervision
• Energy - consistently maintain high level of productivity.
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
