The role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and ability to follow detailed instructions will be crucial to ensure the quality and efficiency of our products.Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) *• Assemble and lay out components on a system according to design specifications. Wire and route cable harnesses within electrical cabinets per wiring schematics. Hand wiring may be required for certain cabinets.• Verify panel boards using a multimeter, ensuring continuity and functionality.• Assist in making wiring decisions related to size, color and routing based on training, engineering and data charts.• Utilize a variety of hand tools, including torque tools, screwdrivers, crimpers, cutters, and wire strippers, to make cuts, strips, bends, and forms wire cable and conduit used to connect circuits and subassemblies.• Solder connections and crimps connectors to wire ends.• Discuss issues in diagrams or panel with supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems, relay corrections, and propose design changes.• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S standards, safety rules and company policies.• Other job-related duties as assigned*To comply with regulations set forth by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the principal duties in this job description must be essential to the job. Electrical/panel building experience preferred. Must be familiar with all phases of panel building (ie. drilling, mounting, and wire motor controls).• Experience with VFDs, PLCs, and DC drives design and start-up work is a plus, but not required.• Experience with Underwriters Laboratory and UL508A standards is desired.• Be able to interpret data from electrical and mechanical diagrams and schematics.• Ability to perform basic maintenance and repairs on equipment.• Use basic hand tools.• Ability to lift 50 pounds and to stand throughout entire shift.• Ability to work in fast paced environment.• Manual dexterity.• Good eye and hand coordination.• Effective communication skills.Working conditionsPowermatic Associates is a rapidly growing organization and as such our team must be very agile and be comfortable working in an evolving environment. The working conditions for this position is primarily sedentary in an office environment; experiences frequent interruptions; required to meet deadlines; requires visual concentration on detail, dexterity and precision.
