Central Power Systems & Services seeks an Electrical Assembly Technician to assemble and wire electrical control boxes, panels, and wire harnesses for generator systems. You will read schematics and wiring diagrams, cut and strip wires, crimp and solder, and connect components per BOMs and drawings.

The role requires 2+ years in electrical assembly, strong attention to detail, good teamwork, and strict adherence to safety.

Qualificações

  • High school diploma or GED required; electrical tech cert preferred.
  • 2+ years in electrical assembly, wiring, or controls.
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with hand tools, test equipment, and DMMs.

Responsabilidades

  • Assemble and wire electrical control boxes, panels, and wire harnesses per drawings and BOMs.
  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
  • Test and troubleshoot circuits using a digital multimeter and diagnostic tools.
  • Ensure proper wiring, labeling, clearances, and connections.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on changes and prototypes.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Complete quality-control documentation and labor records.

We accomplish this by building quality products, supporting our customers, and investing in our people.We are looking for an Electrical Assembly Technician to join our Generator Manufacturing Division. This is an opportunity to use your electrical skills in a hands-on manufacturing environment while learning and working with custom-built generator systems.Job SummaryThe Electrical Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical control boxes, panels, and custom wire harnesses used in generator systems.This position requires the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams and use a variety of electrical hand tools and test equipment. The technician will work closely with Production and Engineering to build assemblies to specification, support engineering changes and prototypes, and ensure finished products meet Central Power's quality and performance standards.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, comfortable working with electrical systems, and takes pride in building a quality product.ResponsibilitiesAssemble and wire electrical control boxes, panels, and wire harnesses according to electrical drawings, blueprints, and production specifications.Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of material, and assembly instructions.Cut, strip, route, terminate, crimp, and solder wires using appropriate tools and equipment.Install and connect electrical components while ensuring proper wire routing, labeling, clearances, and connections.Work with Engineering on drawing revisions, component changes, and product improvements.Assist with the design and assembly of wire harnesses for prototype and custom generator applications.Verify components and assemblies against blueprints, parts lists, and established specifications.Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, quality, and proper workmanship.Test and troubleshoot electrical circuits, wire harnesses, and control boxes using a digital multimeter and other diagnostic equipment.Identify wiring, component, or assembly issues and communicate them to the Production Foreman or Engineering.Complete required quality-control documentation and job paperwork.Accurately record labor and time associated with assigned jobs.Notify the Production Foreman when work is completed or when issues may affect production schedules.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Follow established assembly procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.Work collaboratively with Production and Engineering to meet customer deadlines and production goals.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Why Join Central Power?Competitive PayMedical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysBoot AllowanceTool Programs Available for Entry-Level TechniciansTraining & Professional DevelopmentCareer Advancement OpportunitiesEmployee Referral ProgramFamily-Oriented, Team-Focused CultureOpportunity to Work with Custom Generator Systems and Critical Power ApplicationsAt Central Power, we believe in developing our people and promoting from within. The position may require working in a variety of weather conditions and noise levels.The work environment is industrial and may include exposure to welding fumes, sparks, heat, smoke, dust, noise, moving equipment, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
