Production Lab Technician – Entry Level Welcome

$55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Overview

The Production Department transforms raw materials into finished goods through disciplined planning, scheduling, execution, and quality control. The team focuses on efficiency, cost management, on‑time delivery, and consistent product quality.

Role Summary

The Production Laboratory Technician supports the testing, troubleshooting, calibration, verification, and validation of newly manufactured electronic products and subassemblies. This role uses specialized electronic test and calibration equipment to diagnose circuit issues, inspect PCBs, validate product functionality, and accurately document results. The technician also maintains lab equipment, analyzes product failures, and collaborates with Engineering and Production to drive continuous improvement.

Entry‑level candidates with strong technical aptitude and a desire to grow in electronics are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electronic Testing — Perform troubleshooting, circuit testing, and calibrations on newly built units using general and specialized test equipment.
  • PCB Inspection — Conduct incoming testing on printed circuit boards.
  • Lab Equipment Maintenance — Maintain, repair, and refine test equipment to ensure reliability.
  • Product Verification — Execute verification and validation testing for new products and subassemblies.
  • Standard Processes — Follow established inspection, test, troubleshooting, calibration, and measurement procedures.
  • Documentation — Complete and maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, repairs, and calibrations.
  • Failure Analysis — Monitor customer repairs, identify common failure mechanisms, and communicate findings to Engineering and management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Technical Certificate or Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronics Technology, or equivalent military electronics technician training.
  • Entry‑level candidates welcome; 1–2 years of manufacturing or electronics experience preferred.
