Job Description

Norco is currently seeking a Production Technician. The Production Technician is responsible for loading and unloading cylinders and freight from trucks, filling cylinders with compressed and liquefied gases safely, and following all established procedures and regulations. Other responsibilities include:

• Determining weights of cylinders and freight on orders to be loaded on each truck/trailer
• Loading trucks/trailers within applicable weight limits
• Loading, unloading, and handling all materials to prevent damage during transport
• Filling industrial and medical grade gases into cylinders following all procedures, maintaining accurate records
• Filling industrial, medical, and food-grade liquefied gases into cylinders following procedures
• Filling cryogenic refrigerated liquids into appropriate containers and vessels following procedures
• In the supervisor's absence, assisting customers, reviewing paperwork, and handling calls and tickets
• Performing analytical tests on medical and other products as per established procedures
• Performing other tasks as assigned

Wage: $19-$20/hour

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Accurate data entry skills and familiarity with relevant software
• Knowledge of cylinders and gases is a plus
• Attention to detail and record-keeping skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain
