Job summary

SKF is seeking a Production Technician in Elgin, IL to operate process equipment and maintain a clean, organized workplace. You will support a safe and efficient production line and collaborate with team members to meet daily goals.

The role requires a high school diploma, two years of manufacturing experience, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Training on first shift (6am–2pm) is provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Experience with equipment operations such as molding rubber components, spraying adhesives and grit blasting metals.
• Computer familiarity.
• Good English reading and comprehension skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• First shift training (6am–2pm).
• Position compliant with US ITAR requirements.

Job Function:

Operation of process equipment and others as assigned in a safe and efficient manner. Assist others to provide and organized and clean workplace including: all areas of the plant, workstations, equipment, walkways, and locker rooms. Possess strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well as a team. Ability to self-start yet take orders as directed. Other duties assigned.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Experience and/or background in equipment operations such as molding rubber components, spraying adhesives and grit blasting metals.
• Computer Familiarity.
• Good English reading and comprehension skills.
• Candidate must have a strong desire to be a part of a high growth company with a results-oriented culture.
• Ability to move and lift up to 40 pounds.
• New hire would start on first shift (6am 2pm) for purposes of training.
• This position is compliant to US government ITAR requirements.
