Job summary

Meyer Distributing in Hugo, MN is seeking a Production Technician to fabricate and assemble boat lift components from drawings, operate hand and power tools, and support a safe, efficient production flow. You’ll read blueprints, measure and cut aluminum and steel, inspect finished parts, maintain workspace, and collaborate with teammates to meet daily goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or construction preferred.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and technical drawings.
• Mechanical aptitude with hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble boat lift components from drawings and specifications.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment safely.
• Measure, cut, drill, and fasten aluminum, steel, and electrical components.
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and clean work areas.
• Assist with staging, loading, and shipment preparation.
• Communicate material shortages, defects, or safety concerns.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Hourly Rate and Schedule:

• $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience
• Stable schedule: 5-day work week ~40 hours
• Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 3:00pm (start/end time may vary based on coverage and business needs)

What You’ll Do:

• Fabricate and assemble boat lift components using drawings and specifications
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment safely
• Measure, cut, drill, and fasten aluminum, steel, and electrical components
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
• Maintain tools, equipment, and clean work areas
