Our Hudson site is looking for a Production Technician to join their team on 2nd shift, scheduled Mon - Thur 3:30pm-1:30am.

This position involves assisting the Production team in setting up and operating equipment in a process development or limited production environment. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to; setting up repeat work, training employees, performing preventive maintenance, documenting process conditions and results, and quality reporting. Occasionally, due to workload, the individual may need to temporarily assume the role of Laser Operator.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine duties using various procedures and standards, requiring good judgment.
  • Use industrial machinery to set up optical and software parameters for laser machining jobs according to prescribed conditions.
  • Be resourceful and adaptable, finding solutions around obstacles or developing new methods.
  • Support start-up activities by generating documentation, investigating equipment issues, and assessing safety.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Initiate process changes or machine service requests.
  • Perform inspections of simple to complex parts.
  • Analyze and document data and procedures.
  • Operate laser systems per established procedures or instructions under various conditions.
  • Train colleagues on processing conditions and requirements.
  • Demonstrate processes to clients.
  • Assist and troubleshoot production issues.
Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience with optical or laser equipment setup and operation.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and processes.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Mechanical and analytical aptitude.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Experience programming G-code or similar languages.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Strong math skills and ability to read blueprints.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's level technical training.
Compensation

The compensation for this role is competitive and based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $25-30/hr.
