Air Liquide Large Industries is hiring a Production Technician in Freeport, TX. The role involves supporting safe, efficient operation of the plant, maintaining equipment, executing routine rounds, and assisting with maintenance tasks. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical Associates degree preferred.
• 2+ years of technical training or operations experience.
• Ability to work extended hours/shift work including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding of plant safety rules and policies.
• Identify maintenance needs and enter work orders in Maximo.
• Perform plant operations and follow SOPs and safety procedures.
• Operate and inspect instrumentation, piping, and rotating equipment.
• Keep accurate records and documentation; ensure compliance with safety rules.
• Assist with PMs, rounds, water sampling, and truck loading.
• Wear PPE and follow lock-out/tag-out practices.
• Other duties as assigned by Plant Management.

Issues safe work permit documentation and performs lock-out tag-out of equipment* Acquire knowledge/ability in all plant operations including processes and equipment* Exhibit instrumentation and mechanical aptitude* Learn and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), corporate procedures; read and interpret blueprints, flow charts, process piping ISOs, simple schematics, P&IDs, electrical schematics; perform basic math operations* Keep accurate records and be diligent in documentation and record retention policies and procedures* Demonstrate knowledge & understanding of control board and operator interface computer consoles* Perform operator rounds, water samples, truck loading, operations PM's* Maintain and expect high housekeeping and organizational standards* Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Management* All other duties based on business needs## \\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_## ## Are you a MATCH?**Required Qualifications:*** High school diploma or equivalent required* Technical Associates degree preferred* 2+ years of technical training or operations experience* Ability to work extended hours/shift work as business needs dictate* Ability to work nights, weekends and possibly holidays in order to meet shift and on-call requirements* Valid Driver’s License* Knowledge/understanding of instrumentation, rotating equipment and piping systems* Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants (Process Safety Management, EPA regulations, FDA regulations, state/local regulations)* Knowledge in the proper methods of locking out and isolating equipment* Ability to use computers-knowledge of Microsoft Office software* Ability to work in a team environment; demonstrated self motivated attitude* Good verbal/written communication skills in order to deal effectively with management and external customers* Qualified in operation of the forklift, man lift and overhead crane is preferred* Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work* Must be able to wear required PPE safety equipment including, hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, and FRC clothing* Full range of motion; ability to lift 50 lbs.* Able to climb ladders, work off elevated platforms/surfaces* Able to work in non-conditioned environment for extended periods* Able to enter confined spaces for inspection, testing and work
