Job summary

L&L Products, Inc. in Columbia, SC is seeking a Production Technician to manufacture quality parts following standard operating procedures and to pack items for shipment.

You will work as part of a team, uphold safety practices, and contribute to meeting customer requirements by producing parts that meet quality standards. The role emphasizes teamwork, ability to learn new processes, and strong communication as you help drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience with paperwork training, FIFO, non-conforming product handling, safety, and evacuation procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to learn new processes.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as a frontline team member to produce quality parts per SOPs and pack for shipment.
  • Understand safety devices, risks, and follow production safety procedures.
  • Adhere to company policies and participate in changeovers as needed.
  • Record data per work orders and escalate unsafe conditions to the Group Leader.
  • Discontinue production of parts not meeting customer quality parameters.

Job Title: Production Technician

Date: 2025

Reports to: Group Leader

What you’ll do:

The Production Technician is the frontline employee responsible for making quality parts according to L&L's operating procedures and ensuring they give customers exactly what they order. Teamwork and collaboration are essential skills required for this position, as well as the ability to make parts that meet L&L's quality standards and pack them accurately for shipment to the customer.

Duties / Responsibilities of this position:
  • Understanding the location and function of all safety devices and safety aids within the plant.
  • Understand all safety risks in their work area.
  • Following the instructions in all the Production SOP’s (standard operating procedures).
  • To adhere to company policies and values as set forth by the management of L&L Products, Inc.
  • Participate in team effort during changeovers.
  • Complete any other specific projects as assigned by the Group Leader from time to time.
  • Accurately record the required data needed per work order.
  • Discontinue working on a piece of equipment that in his/her judgment is unsafe and bringing it to the attention of the Group Leader for immediate resolution.
  • Discontinuing the production of parts that do not meet the quality parameters set by the customer and bringing it to the attention of the Group Leader for immediate resolution.
