Job summary

Staffmark Group in Cary, IL is hiring a Production Technician to help keep production lines moving and ensure quality. The role offers a pay rate of $17.00 per hour, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and a focus on teamwork, safety, and reliability.

The responsibilities include cutting and preparing materials, assembling badges and small items, packaging finished products, inspecting quality, reporting defects, and maintaining clean, organized work areas while following

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; manufacturing or production training beneficial.
  • Experience with repetitive production and packaging tasks.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Reliability, attendance and strong work ethic required.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Cut and prepare small paper components and production materials.
  • Assemble badges and other small products according to instructions.
  • Package completed items into individual bags and seal finished products.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and appearance.
  • Identify and report defects or production issues.
  • Follow work instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain production pace while meeting quality standards.
  • Complete basic production records and documentation.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and stocked with materials.
  • Communicate material shortages, equipment concerns, and quality issues to supervisors.
  • Perform additional production-related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, warehouse, or industrial experience is preferred.

  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement practices, or workplace safety procedures is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are well positioned for success as a Production Technician.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate around production equipment and moving machinery.
  • Ability to maintain productivity while working in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
