Job summary

Linde Inc. in Camas, WA is seeking a Production Technician to operate, maintain, and repair cryogenic liquid and gas systems across storage vessels, vaporizers, purifiers, and pipelines. The role covers commissioning, start-ups, shutdowns, calibration, and troubleshooting.

You will diagnose electrical issues (<600 VAC), interpret P&IDs, perform CMMS-based maintenance, and coordinate with external contractors. A technical degree with experience, physical ability to lift 45–75 lbs, and willingness to on-call are required.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical certificate or recent military training in a technical field.
  • Minimum three years of experience in industrial plant operations or maintenance.
  • Ability to climb ladders and perform work at elevated heights.
  • Capable of wearing all required PPE.
  • Ability to lift 45–75 lbs as needed.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; strong computer literacy.
  • Ability to operate forklift and aerial lift after qualification.
  • Willingness to be on-call and work overtime, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and repair cryogenic liquid and gas systems—including storage vessels, vaporizers, purifiers, analyzers, pipelines, valves, pumps, compressors, and control systems.
  • Perform system commissioning, start‑ups, shutdowns, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain and repair instrumentation such as transmitters, meters, control systems, and automatic valves.
  • Diagnose electrical systems (<600 VAC) and interpret P&IDs and wiring diagrams.
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance using CMMS; analyze equipment data to identify and resolve issues.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, materials, and external contractor support.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, QC, and production records; manage spare parts inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and operational procedures; perform LOTO and permit‑required work.
  • Identify and report safety risks, incidents, and near misses; stop unsafe work immediately.
  • Propose and implement improvements to enhance equipment reliability and reduce costs.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, management, and internal teams; respond professionally to feedback.
  • Participate in training, meetings, and team activities; support performance and operational goals.
  • Work in field and office environments, including at heights; support on‑call rotation and extended hours as needed.
