About the Role

Essity is seeking an experienced Production Technician to join our team in Bowling Green, KY. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating production equipment efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Key duties include managing raw materials, performing maintenance tasks, leading changeovers, and ensuring product quality. Effective communication with team members and maintaining a clean work environment are essential. The role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations and the ability to complete necessary documentation during production.

What You Will Do

  • Work within Essity safety standards with a responsibility for others
  • Operates process & equipment efficiently.
  • Is accountable for the performance of his/her equipment.
  • Able to consistently apply the necessary standards to keep the process under control.
  • Develops standards (CL, CIL, PM, OPL, WPS, etc.) through observation to gain deep understanding of the equipment.
  • Troubleshoots stops in a structured way using the available tools: POS, BDE, etc.
  • Understands the Operation and equipment, what it does/how it works & can carry out CIL (Clean, Inspect, Lubricate)tasks and perform simple maintenance tasks.
  • Lead changeovers
  • Order and prepare raw materials and install them on the machine according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintain an adequate communication with previous and next shift as well with other persons involved in running the machine.
  • Maintain optimal housekeeping.
  • Secure the quality level of the products by regularly checking against the product specification, rejecting and blocking if necessary.
  • Complete all required documentation and data files during production.
  • Other duties as assigned.
