Job summary

FIRST RF seeks an assembler to design and build antenna prototypes under engineer guidance. You will prepare schematics, build test fixtures, solder components, and troubleshoot electrical circuits. You’ll document results, support design reviews, and help transition designs to production.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork, with standard hours Mon-Thu 6:30am-5pm and potential overtime; a dynamic environment for growing hands-on RF fabrication skills.

Qualifications

  • Must have U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience using inspection and power tools.
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Good judgement and decision-making.
  • Ability to learn and complete training quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Study work instructions, travelers, test procedures, and parts lists to gather required parts and prepare for assembly work.
  • Position and align parts and subassemblies using templates, fixtures, and test measurement equipment.
  • Assemble components by soldering and inspecting for proper fit and quality.
  • Identify and help resolve assembly issues and notify QA of recurring problems.
  • Follow procedures to maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
  • Anticipate material needs and request build kits and supplies as needed.
  • Update and maintain build documentation and production records using MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Complete production travelers and rework documentation as required.
  • Contribute to team success by supporting production objectives as assigned.

Construct assemblies of final prototypes, assist in the preparation of schematics, designs, and specifications. Design and build test fixtures, troubleshoot, and test electrical circuits, conduct tests, record data, and summarize results. Provide input for design reviews, proposals, and specifications.
