Job description

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As the First Shift Production Technician, you will be responsible for the process of making diffraction gratings, reporting to the Senior Team Lead.

You Will Make an Impact By:

This role may be located on one of the following teams: Coating, Cementing, Take Apart, Layout/Inspection, or Testing. The Production Technician I will handle a variety of sizes and weights of our products, requiring good dexterity and eye-hand coordination. A focus on quality, precision, and following work instructions is essential. Proficiency with computers and MS Office is required.

  • Inspect optics to ensure customer specifications are met.
  • Accurately complete required documentation for each job processed.
  • Learn to recognize part defects.

Skills You Bring:

  • A problem-solver and analytical thinker with exceptional attention to detail and a passion for producing quality, dependable work.
  • Minimum of one-year experience in a production environment.
  • An AA degree, vocational training, or military technical training is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read drawings and use measurement instruments.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to check and identify defects.
  • Ability to read and carefully follow work instructions.
  • Able to lift 40+ lbs several times a day.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $20-22/hr. This range is a good faith estimate based on qualifications, experience, training, operational and business needs, and other factors. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range.
