Job summary

Mercy Hill Church - Triad is seeking a Tech/Production AD to lead and oversee the Production Ministry. You will work with the Production Director to ensure weekend services, events, and campuses run smoothly, with excellence across AVL and volunteer teams.

You will apply strong technical knowledge and leadership to build capable teams, maintain systems, and create distraction‑free environments that support the church's mission and vision.

Qualifications

• Experience designing Pro Presenter playlists and Resolume playlists.
• Experience scheduling and building service plans in Planning Center.
• Experience with high-end technical gear (AV systems, LED walls, lighting, audio consoles).
• Experience in live production, preferably in a multi-campus church or complex events; 1 year+.

Responsibilities

• Execute the vision and standards for Production across all campuses in collaboration with the Production Director.
• Oversee technical execution of weekend services, rehearsals, and major events.
• Ensure production environments are prepared and tested for service readiness.
• Coordinate with Worship, Creative, Campus, and ministry teams to meet production needs.
• Serve as Production Lead/Technical Director for services and events as needed.
• Recruit, train, and develop Production Team volunteers.
• Maintain knowledge of AVL, signal flow, equipment, and procedures.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide escalation support to campus leaders.
• Manage maintenance, upgrades, replacements, and system improvements.
• Document production systems, configurations, and workflows.
• Assist with AVL installations, integrations, and expansion projects.
• Collaborate with vendors/integrators and evaluate new technology for ministry needs.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Production Director to execute the vision and standards for Production across all campuses.
• Help oversee technical execution of weekend services, rehearsals, special services, and major events.
• Ensure production environments are prepared, tested, and ready for service.
• Work alongside Worship, Creative, Campus, and ministry leaders to ensure production needs are clearly communicated and executed.
• Serve as a Production Lead/Technical Director for services and events as needed.
• Help recruit, train, equip, schedule, and develop Production Team volunteers.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of audio, video, lighting, presentation, broadcast, networking, and other production technologies.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and serve as an escalation point for campus Production leaders and volunteers.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, equipment replacement, and system improvements.
• Maintain documentation for production systems, signal flow, equipment, procedures, and configurations.
• Assist with AVL installations, upgrades, integrations, and expansion projects.
• Work with vendors, integrators, and contractors as needed.
• Help evaluate new technology and make recommendations based on ministry need, reliability, scalability, and stewardship.

Technical Skill

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in several of the following areas and working knowledge across all of them:

• Live audio and digital audio consoles
• Wireless audio and RF coordination
• Broadcast and live video systems and cameras
• Video routing and signal distribution
• Presentation systems such as ProPresenter and Resolume
• Various Lighting consoles, fixtures, DMX, and networking
• LED video systems
• Production networking
• Intercom and communications systems
• Rigging and staging fundamentals
• Troubleshooting complex AVL signal paths

Competencies

• Full working knowledge of Pro Presenter, Resolume, and Planning Center. Ability to create playlists and design presentations within Pro Presenter and Resolume.
• Great communication skills are required to obtain accurate content needed for each service.
• An understanding of service flow, transitions, and content needed to produce a service.
• They should work well under pressure in and out of a live environment.
• Full understanding of system networking for video input and output.
• Ability to fix broken gear, connections, and routing issues when they arise.
• Ability to maintain gear so that it performs as expected.
• Strong technical knowledge across multiple production disciplines.
• Experience leading and developing volunteers or production teams.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to troubleshoot effectively under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills with documentation, file structure, and all other content.

Office Hours
