Job description

Production Team Member - Mon/Tue & e/o Fri-Sun, 6am-6pm

Location – This is an onsite role at the Chaseburg Creamery in Chaseburg, WI. The shift hours are 6am-6pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Summary of Role

The Production Team Member is responsible for printing, packaging of butter, and sanitation of production and storage areas, including chemical handling. This is a safety-sensitive position, with the creamery operating year-round, including holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Perform cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and areas, including CIP/COP processes.
  2. Complete sanitation tasks as scheduled.
  3. Handle chemicals safely, including labeling and transportation.
  4. Participate in spill prevention and response training.
  5. Conduct ATP testing and record results.
  6. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  7. Ensure equipment readiness before production.
  8. Verify packaging labels before use.
  9. Operate machinery such as printers, packers, and churns.
  10. Assist with palletizing and shipping preparations.
  11. Obtain certifications for forklift and pallet jack operation.
  12. Operate cardboard compactors and bailing equipment.
  13. Support quality assurance activities, including sampling and testing.
  14. Complete necessary documentation accurately.
  15. Hand pack and tape cases as needed.
  16. Comply with safety, manufacturing, and regulatory policies.
  17. Manage transportation documentation and truck loading.
  18. Handle cream totes and test butterfat levels.
Additional Duties
  • Assist with plant cleaning and maintenance.
  • Support other production areas as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Basic understanding of machinery and troubleshooting.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work weekends.
  • Sanitation experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds regularly, up to 80 pounds with assistance, and push/pull heavy loads.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work safely with hot liquids and chemicals.
Compensation and Benefits

Starting hourly wage: $18.00, with a $1.00 shift premium on weekends. Wages are based on experience and skills. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, parental leave, 401(k) matching, tuition reimbursement, insurance options, wellness programs, and more.
