SEKISUI Aerospace is hiring a Composite Technician in Orange City, IA to lay up composite materials and support molding operations. You will trim, vacuum-bag, perform basic repairs, prepare materials, weigh, finish, and mold components per detailed instructions.

Position

As a composite technician you will assembles components by laying composites and materials such as pre-impregnated carbon fiber and fiberglass cloth onto molds & processes parts through molding operations.

What You Will Do

Responsible for the hand layup of advanced composite materials on designated tooling per specific work instructions and customer specifications.
Performs advance composite operations to include trimming, vacuum-bagging, basic repair, material preparation, weighing, finishing, and molding operations.
Inspection of in-process and finished product using hand measurement tools and other tests procedures may be required.
Record keeping of inspection results where required.
Responsible for work orders and time calculations to ensure the quality of the product while providing suggestions for improvement.
