Job summary

Heart of Texas Goodwill Industries is seeking a Production Team Member to process donated merchandise, including receiving, sorting, grading, and preparing items for sale. You will greet donors, unload donations, and help maintain stock for the retail floor while upholding safety standards.

The role requires ability to follow instructions, strong customer service, and teamwork. Forklift certification is required; strong emphasis on safety and efficiency in a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and unload donations from donors and assist with loading as needed.
  • Sort, inspect, categorize, and price donations for departments and daily goals.
  • Hang clothing, stock retail floor, and document donations on production sheets.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for sorting, labeling, and stacking materials; operate baling machine if assigned.
  • Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area and follow safety procedures.

Job SummaryThe Production Team Member is responsible for all aspects of processing donated merchandise, including receiving, sorting, grading, and preparing items for retail sale. This role ensures donations are handled efficiently, safely, and in accordance with organizational standards, while providing excellent customer service to donors.Key ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are representative of the essential functions of this position. Additional duties may be assigned as operational needs require.Donation Receiving & Donor ServicesGreet donors and assist with unloading donations, providing courteous and professional service.Load and unload donation trucks as needed.Production & ProcessingSort, inspect, categorize, and price donations according to designated departments and daily production goals.Hang clothing on racks and maintain stock for the retail store.Document donations on production sheets.Follow Dell Reconnect and other standard operating procedures for sorting, labeling, and stacking materials.Operate baling machine for material compression if assigned.Palletize, wrap, and track materials for transport.Price and move furniture to the retail sales floor.Safety & FacilityMaintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate safety gear as required.Operate equipment safely, including forklifts (company certification required).Other duties as assigned.Supervisory DutiesNone.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
