Join Lantech as a 1st Shift or Crating Team Leader in our CLIMATE CONTROLLED facility. We offer a 4-day work week with overtime opportunity, quarterly profitability bonuses, and TONS of opportunity for advancement. Our Crating Team Leaders START at $26.50/hr

1st Shift: Mon - Thu, 6am - 4:30 pm

Here's a Glimpse at What you'll Do:

Leadership of 5 associates. Responsible for learning and managing all aspects of the crating, shipping, and logistics processes. Responsible for maintaining a safe, organized work environment. Required to adhere to standardized work procedures while maintaining desired quality of work. Perform Problem Solving activity to resolve problems. Will be supporting associates with training / cross training in order to build and maintain a flexible staff. Adherence to the shipping schedule to achieve on time delivery. Through participation in workshops and Lean training activities will be required to learn all aspects of Lantech's Lean philosophy including standardized work, creating and maintaining intuitive work environments, removal of hard and tedious work and learning to manage fluctuation and variation in the work. Maintain organization in area of responsibility and manage abnormalities as it relates to 5S principles. Work with factory leader in support of performance review process. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

We are looking for someone who:

• Minimum of 5 years in a crating/shipping/logistics leadership role
• Proven ability to operate and drive a fork truck
• Must be a self-starter
• Must have good communication skills
• Must be detail-oriented and able to work effectively within the fast-paced production environment.
• Must be able to multitask
• Must have proven knowledge and prior use of hand tools.
• Must be willing/able to work overtime to complete project and/or meet scheduling deadlines.
• Must have a high aptitude for working with situations of a manufacturing nature.
• Must be willing to gain certification to operate and drive a fork truck (DOT Physical)
• Is able to read and follow instructions in English (standardized work).
• Is able to work effectively in a team environment
• Practices safe work habits as an individual and with co-workers.
• Adheres to guidelines related to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Is a team-oriented individual with good interaction/communication skills.
• Is detail-oriented and able to work effectively within the fast-paced production environment.
• Knows safety equipment and is aware of machine safety procedures
• Is able to lift up to 50lbs
• Is able stand for 9-10 hours per day
• Is able to pass a pre-employment physical demand screen (includes a work simulation; lifting up to 50 lbs.)
• Is able to pass a pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
• Is willing and able to work overtime to complete project and/or meet scheduling deadlines.
• Is legally authorized to work in the U.S.
