Magna International Limited, through its Cosma Group, seeks a production-focused professional to lead daily manufacturing activities in a dynamic environment. You will oversee manpower, safety protocols, and shift hand-offs while driving productivity and quality across multiple areas.

You will mentor staff, participate in lean/5S initiatives, and ensure accurate documentation and timely delivery, contributing to Magna Cosma's commitment to safety and excellence.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift license required or able to obtain.

Responsabilidades

• Lead daily production activities: coordinate manpower, assign work, and handle shift hand-off.
• Ensure safety by enforcing standards, conducting pre-shift talks, and handling incidents.
• Drive performance: operate equipment, support start-ups, monitor WIP and inventory, ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Maintain production data, downtime tracking, and up-to-date work instructions.
• Coach and develop team members through training and feedback; assess training needs.
• Support continuous improvement via corrective actions and lean/5S activities.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and consistent execution across shifts.

Job Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS:

• Lead daily production activities by coordinating manpower, assigning work, facilitating pre-shift meetings, managing break relief, and ensuring clear shift hand-off communication.
• Ensure safe operations by enforcing Magna/OSHA standards, conducting pre-shift inspections and safety talks, maintaining evacuation routes, and responding immediately to accidents and investigations.
• Drive production performance by operating equipment as needed, supporting start-ups, monitoring WIP and inventory, achieving first-time quality, and meeting efficiency and delivery targets.
• Maintain accurate operational documentation, including hourly production data, downtime tracking, performance reporting, and up-to-date work instructions.
• Coach, train, and develop team members through on-the-job training, performance feedback, and skills development; provide recommendations on training and performance needs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by administering corrective actions, participating in lean/5S activities, coordinating engineering changes, and promoting quality and innovation.
• Foster strong cross-functional communication and team leadership by supporting company vision, resolving issues objectively, collaborating with other departments, and ensuring consistent execution across shifts.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

WORK EXPERIENCE/ TECHNICAL TRAINING:

• Must currently hold or be able toattaina forklift license.
• Must exemplify excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, written and oral.
• Good mathematical,analyticaland organizational skills.
• Able to work in various locations within and outside the plant.

Pay range: $27.65 - $30.63 annual salary
