Job summary

Oetiker, Inc. is seeking a capable Team Leader to oversee daily automotive manufacturing operations. You will monitor production using OPS and L2L, schedule resources, and lead shift-start meetings including Gemba walks, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production via OPS and L2L, track downtime and initiate corrective actions.
• Schedule daily production and allocate resources; ensure vacation coverage and overtime control.
• Lead department employee meetings at shift start and participate in Gemba walks.
• Provide timely feedback to improve performance and foster a positive work environment.
• Offer feedback on training or coaching needs for personnel.
• Complete Team Leader, 5S and verification audits.
• Collect and reconcile work orders.
• Monitor preventive maintenance to ensure completion.
• Enforce Health & Safety, Environmental, Legal, Quality, and company policies.
• Lead and implement OPS improvements.

Job Description

• By utilizing OPS and L2L Team board, will monitor daily production using L2L, quality output and follow up on excessive downtime and initiate course of action.
• Schedule daily production, allocate resources as required, ensure vacation coverage and control of overtime activity.
• Conduct department employee meetings at the start of shift and participate in Gemba walks.
• Provide timely feedback to enhance performance and create a positive work environment for the employees.
• Provide feedback and recommendations regarding training or coaching of personnel.
• Complete Team Leader, 5S and verification audits.
• Collect and reconcile work orders.
• Monitor preventative maintenance activities to ensure completion
• Follow and Enforce compliance to all Health & Safety, Environmental, Legal, Quality, and Oetiker policies and procedures.
• Responsible for leading and implementing OPS improvements.
