Job summary

Oetiker, Inc. in the United States (Northern Kentucky) seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensure safety, quality, and on-time output, and lead a team of operators.

You will monitor downtime, coordinate resources, conduct shift-start meetings, and drive OPS improvements while maintaining compliance with IATF 16949 and related standards. Strong communication and mechanical aptitude are essential; high school diploma required, college degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• College diploma in a relevant field preferred.
• 2–4 years supervisory experience in automotive manufacturing or high-volume environment.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 regulations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily production using OPS and L2L; track downtime and initiate corrective action.
• Schedule daily production; allocate resources; ensure vacation coverage and overtime control.
• Lead shift-start department meetings and perform Gemba walks.
• Provide timely feedback to improve performance and foster a positive work environment.
• Recommend training or coaching for personnel.
• Complete Team Leader, 5S and verification audits.
• Collect and reconcile work orders.
• Monitor preventive maintenance activities to ensure completion.
• Follow and enforce Health & Safety, Environmental, Legal, Quality, and Oetiker policies.
• Lead and implement OPS improvements.

Job Description

• By utilizing OPS and L2L Team board, will monitor daily production using L2L, quality output and follow up on excessive downtime and initiate course of action.
• Schedule daily production, allocate resources as required, ensure vacation coverage and control of overtime activity.
• Conduct department employee meetings at the start of shift and participate in Gemba walks.
• Provide timely feedback to enhance performance and create a positive work environment for the employees.
• Provide feedback and recommendations regarding training or coaching of personnel.
• Complete Team Leader, 5S and verification audits.
• Collect and reconcile work orders.
• Monitor preventative maintenance activities to ensure completion
• Follow and Enforce compliance to all Health & Safety, Environmental, Legal, Quality, and Oetiker policies and procedures.
