Job summary

Ventura Foods Bremen Plant is seeking a Production Team Leader to guide a shift of production staff and ensure safety, quality and efficiency targets are met. You will partner with the Production Supervisor to manage daily operations, coach frontline personnel, and maintain GMP and environment standards.

Key duties include leading training, maintaining daily production records, and ensuring housekeeping and policy compliance in a fast-paced food production setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college or degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in production in a food production environment.
• Previous front line supervision experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned group of production employees to meet quotas while upholding quality, environmental, safety and GMP standards.
• Assist Production Supervisor in managing staff and performance.
• Train production personnel in safe and efficient work processes.
• Enter and maintain daily production reports.
• Ensure housekeeping and GMP adherence and maintain a clean, orderly area.

They help to ensure their team meets production quotas while maintaining standards related to quality, environmental, safety and efficiency. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:* Operate in a safe manner.* Ensure that all team members are operating in a safe manner.* Assist the Production Supervisor to manage an assigned group of employees. Specific duties may include evaluating personnel regarding work performance, environmental, safety, and GMP practices.* Perform the duties of other production employees when they are absent or otherwise away from their work station.* Train production personnel or coordinate training in safe and efficient work processes.* Ensure information is audited and accurate on machine specific communication boards and Team communication boards.* Conduct audits of work area to ensure safe work practices and compliance with safety regulations.* Work with Quality Assurance department to ensure compliance and rectify quality issues related to production.* Entering and maintaining daily production reports.* Ensure safety, training, environmental, and quality standards are met within the facility.* Communicate with oncoming Team Leader.* Comply with all company policies.* Ensure all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area and GMP’s are adhered to.* Complete all other assigned duties as required.## QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
