Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three years of welding, fabrication, manufacturing, or heavy-manufacturing experience.
• Previous team lead, leadership, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
• Working knowledge of welding and fabrication processes, tools, and equipment.
• Forklift and overhead-crane experience required and must be trained.
• Ability to understand equipment data plates, load centers, and safe handling of heavy loads.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience in ISO 9001 quality environments preferred.
• Maintain welding qualifications for required production welding.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily work activities and communicate priorities, production requirements, quality expectations, and safety controls.
• Reinforce safety requirements, work instructions, equipment rules, and housekeeping standards.
• Assess conditions and adjust tasks based on hazards or changing conditions.
• Coordinate and supervise material handling and movement using forklifts and cranes.
• Ensure trained operators and pre-use inspections for equipment.
• Read and interpret drawings and work instructions to guide production.
• Verify products meet drawings, manufacturing requirements, and quality standards.
• Support in-process inspections, quality checks, and nonconformance controls.
• Identify and resolve production issues; coordinate corrective action or escalation.
• Assist Supervisor with scheduling, manpower allocation, and production planning in SAP.
• Ensure training and cross-training are completed and documented.
• Troubleshoot production problems and participate in lean improvement activities.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Materials, and Production for project completion.
• Monitor material usage and report discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and promote teamwork and accountability.
• Provide input on performance, attendance, training needs, and coaching.
• Work up to 10 hours per day, weekends as required.
