Job description

We are seeking a Production Team Lead for our business located in Lewistown, PA.

Purpose and Role of Job:

The Production Team Lead is responsible for coordinating the work efforts of team members to achieve and exceed team performance goals that conform to established standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices. In performing these duties, the Team Lead will work as part of their regular operating team while also performing this coordinating function. The Team Lead is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and adjusting all mechanical equipment, machinery, and components. On-the-job training is provided.

Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for efficient coordination of operating teams to achieve daily shift goals.
  2. Participate in the development of team improvement plans to achieve higher levels of operational performance.
  3. Take corrective actions, including recommending disciplinary actions, to resolve individual team member performance issues.
  4. Establish and maintain mutually supportive relationships with other Team Leads, Production Supervisors, and resource support personnel.
  5. Maintain communication with Production Supervisors regarding any information that affects the success of the line.
  6. Provide leadership and develop team members in coordination with the appropriate support function to identify and resolve safety and quality issues, reduce waste, and increase equipment efficiencies.
  7. Train and/or direct the efforts of trainers to train team members to perform effectively.
  8. Participate in Daily Operations Meetings (DOM) and communicate results and information to team members.
  9. Model high standards of conduct and leadership.
  10. Maintain quality standards and follow all quality procedures.
  11. Assist maintenance, engineering, controls, etc., when working on their line.
  12. Complete and ensure accuracy of shift production reports, Plant Application downtime, maintenance logs, Quality Window, etc.
  13. Lead and help the team in keeping machines and surrounding areas clean at all times.
  14. Perform other duties as necessary when needed or directed to do so.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  1. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  2. Excellent leadership skills.
  3. Ability to work in and manage a team-oriented environment.
  4. Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
  5. High School diploma or equivalent required.
  6. Three years manufacturing experience preferred.
  7. One to two years of trade school or college preferred.
  8. Prior computer experience preferred.
  9. Standard knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  10. Standard knowledge of product specifications, quality specifications, goals, efficiency, scrap, and production.
  11. Good communication and analytical skills.
  12. Ability to use all measuring tools, micrometers, vernier calipers, etc.
  13. Ability to run the equipment, hand tools, and power tools.

Pay Range:

$21.05-$29.05

$1.50 shift differential for night shift positions.

Schedules:
12-hour shifts
Straight night shift

7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Only Scheduled to Work 15 Days a Month!

A typical two-week schedule is shown below:
