Job summary

Oshkosh Defense is seeking a Production Supervisor Intern to lead manufacturing teams and help ensure on-time production schedules with a focus on safety, quality, and 5S standards. The role offers leadership development within a People First culture and a Spring/Summer 2027 start date.

You will guide 1–2 production areas, coach team members, and coordinate with maintenance and improvement projects to meet schedule demands. Strong communication and willingness to learn are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years of manufacturing experience or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to plan and organize projects.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Lead 1–2 small or similar areas/processes within the production facility./line.
• Provide daily support in troubleshooting issues and give performance feedback.
• Educate and enforce quality, safety, and 5S standards; suggest improvements.
• Support maintenance, continuous improvement, and value stream projects to meet production schedules.
• Conduct root-cause analyses and coordinate improvements across teams.
