Job summary

Yanfeng is seeking a Team Leader to support a production line, lead a team, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency to meet customer specifications. This role is based at a facility in Fountain Inn, SC.

The ideal candidate will drive start-up information, training, and continuous improvement while coordinating with quality and process teams to maintain standard work and achieve production targets.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• General Studies or similar.
• Equivalent work experience may be considered for certain positions.
• 1-3 Minimum Years of Manufacturing Experience.
• 1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
• Computer literacy.
• Excellent oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist personnel planning and deployment scheduling in cooperation with the Production Supervisor.
• Facilitates job rotations throughout the shift.
• Provide relevant information for daily start-up meeting.
• Ensure HSE and 5-S policies and standards are followed.
• Train new operators according to current ODS to ensure standardized work procedures are followed.
• Monitor hourly production indicator to ensure customer requirements and plant objectives are met.
• Responsible for verifying quality system documentation including first piece, poka-yokes, and red rabbits.
• Motivate team members to create a Continuous Improvement culture to foster CI improvements.
• Monitor quality of work being produced and report any issue to Supervisor.
• Organize production re-work and document when necessary.
• Communicate with other team leaders, quality techs and process techs any component or machine issues.
• Audit and ensure current Standard Work procedures are being followed.
