Job summary

VitalPath in Maplewood, MN is seeking a Production Line Lead to manage a small team on the second shift, guiding assembly of catheter components while ensuring quality and GMP standards.

You will train operators, monitor process adherence, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with on-site responsibilities and close collaboration with Shift Supervisor to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or related work experience.
• Understand blueprints/specifications preferred.
• 1–3 years medical device experience in clean room.
• ISO 13485 and cGMP knowledge preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and sit for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead a production team on an as-needed basis and oversee material requests and verification.
• Assist team in manufacturing parts and troubleshoot when needed.
• Ensure 100% adherence to manufacturing processes and documentation; support root cause investigations as needed.
• Maintain cGMP compliance, including labeling and documentation; conduct daily in-process inspections.
• Collect and report data to Shift Supervisor and contribute to 75% of production time.
• Identify continuous improvement initiatives and work with Shift Supervisor to implement changes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

About The Position

Under little or no supervision, function as a line lead of the production team whose goal is to assemble required components, operate tools & equipment, inspect in-process components, complete documentation as required and maintain a high level of quality and integrity of products at all times. Lead as a role model for good manufacturing practices, adherence to processes and procedures, and report issues such as non-conforming events to Shift Supervisor.

Work Location/Schedule

• This position requires the employee to be onsite at our VitalPath Maplewood, MN location.
• Shift/Schedule: Second Shift MondayThursday 3:00pm1:30am (4x10 hour days)
• VitalPath does not offer relocation assistance for this position.

Responsibilities

• In charge of onthejob training on an as needed basis and responsible for leading a team o Requesting material for team and material verification
• Assist team in manufacturing parts and/or troubleshooting when needed oResponsible for returning all material when project completed
• Responsible for Quality 100% adherence to the manufacturing process requirements, such as daily inprocess inspection and documentation control o Assist in root cause investigation of nonconforming products and supplier corrective action as assigned
• Ensure proper cGMP, such as labeling and documentation oConducting daily in-process inspection
• Collect and report data to Shift Supervisor and expected to manufacture 75% of the time
• Take initiative to find work when necessary and identify continuous improvement initiative and working with Shift Supervisor
• Additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or related work experience and/or training
• Understand basic blueprints/specifications preferred
• General math skills with metric conversions preferred
• 1 to 3 years of medical device experience in clean room
• Working knowledge of ISO 13485 and cGMP preferred
• Lifting and moving up to 50lbs, must be able to work with a microscope, and sit for an extended period of time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Must be willing to work in team environments and promote teamwork among others
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of safety and documentation
• Basic computer skills: Excel, Word
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English preferred

Compensation Package

• The hourly range for this position is $21.99 $28.53 + $1 shift differential. The posted hourly range complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as market conditions, level of experience and training, education, certifications, as well as internal and external equity.
• This position is eligible to earn an annual performance bonus based on meeting VitalPath’s bonus performance plan.
