Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Production Team Lead-I for the South Milwaukee, WI facility. The role offers a $29.60 per hour base rate with core hours 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM and includes shift premiums and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three years of relevant manufacturing/military experience.
• Relocation not offered; candidates must reside within 50 miles of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Assist department supervisor in maintaining workflow, assigning work, and instructing other employees.
• Ensure all area employees are trained in safety, PPE, production and process awareness; coordinate with the dept supervisor to provide training.
• Communicate department objectives, priorities and standards to hourly workforce.
• Lead start-of-shift meetings focusing on safety, quality, delivery, cost and takt time.
• Address questions from the hourly workforce and reallocate resources to meet changing needs.
• Coordinate area work activities with the supervisor and keep them informed of all matters.
• Inform supervisor of any issues threatening safety, quality, delivery or production performance.
• Know how to set up, adjust, and operate all departmental equipment; fill in for operators when needed.
• Check material availability and expedite shortages with production control and other MRPs.
• Identify training needs and address them through coaching and onboarding.
• Operate forklift as needed.
