Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and support production employees to meet performance, safety, quality, and customer delivery expectations.
  • Oversee staffing and production runs to meet schedules, efficiency targets, yield goals, and quality standards.
  • Monitor batch records, product specifications, process parameters, downtime, scrap, output, and safety metrics.
  • Support equipment setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting, and communicate equipment or process issues to Maintenance and Manufacturing leadership.
  • Enforce GMPs, SQF standards, food safety procedures, sanitation requirements, SOPs, safety policies, and company expectations.
  • Conduct regular area inspections and promptly report food safety, quality, safety, or production concerns to the appropriate department or management.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, team-oriented work environment and serve as the first point of contact for production employee questions or concerns.
  • Provide input on employee performance, attendance, training needs, and disciplinary matters as needed.
  • Analyze production KPIs to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support corrective actions, preventive actions, employee training, and departmental projects that improve productivity, safety, quality, and compliance.

Job Title:Production Team Lead

Location: Lindon, Utah

Shift: M-TH, some Fridays

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Liquids Department as a Production Team Lead. The Production Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the production activities of our team to ensure efficient and high-quality output. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a proven ability to optimize production processes. The ideal candidate will have a background in liquid production and an understanding of the manufacturing industry.

JOB SUMMARY

The Liquids Senior Team Lead is responsible for coordinating and leading day-to-day operations within the Liquids Production Department. This position serves as the key liaison between production operators and plant management, ensuring that all manufacturing activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and food safety standards.

The Senior Team Lead provides direct oversight of production staff, drives performance metrics, promotes continuous improvement, and ensures that company policies and GMP/SQF standards are consistently followed.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead, train, coach, and support production employees to meet performance, safety, quality, and customer delivery expectations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED required; college or technical coursework preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing or food production environment.
  • Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role strongly preferred.
SKILLS
  • Communication skills both verbally and written in the English language.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Proven leadership skills to manage performance and inspire team to achieve results.
  • Strong operating skills in organizing, planning and time management, as well as getting work done through others with the ability to manage and measure team members work progress.
  • Action oriented with a strong bias for action to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite; Outlook, Word, Excel.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to lift over 50 lbs. and enter confine spaces without injury.
  • Must be able to withstand long periods of standing in one place and extreme temperatures.
  • Must have the mental ability to instruct personnel in a respectful manner.
  • Must have the mental ability to make adjustments as necessary in a crisis.
  • Visual acuity required is the minimum standard for use with those whose work deals largely with visual inspection involving small defects, handling small parts, operation of simple machines, using measurement devices, assembling or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
