Job summary

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing or relevant production experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership in production, assembly or machining areas.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on production work while leading, supporting, and coordinating team activities on the floor to meet production, quality, safety, and operational priorities.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and coordination of daily activities to ensure production schedules are met.
  • Monitor workflow, assign tasks, and optimize workloads to maintain efficiency and quality.
  • Oversee training, onboarding, and continuous development of team members on processes, safety, and quality standards.
  • Ensure team adherence to safety protocols and company policies while promoting a culture of safety.
  • Actively troubleshoot and resolve production or process issues, escalating complex problems to management or engineering.
  • Support and drive lean manufacturing efforts, including 5S, kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams such as engineering, quality, and maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S standards.

Job Competencies & Qualifications
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities related to production equipment and processes.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems for tracking production data, inventory, and documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
  • Familiarity with metrology tools and quality inspection processes.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Associate degree in manufacturing, operations, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or relevant production environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in production, assembly, machining, or specialized areas.
  • Forklift experience and certification preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to regularly communicate. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle material, as well as reach with hands and arms (including overhead). The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
