Job summary

Johnson Matthey Inc. is seeking a Production Systems Engineer in West Whiteland, Indiana. The role focuses on applying manufacturing engineering expertise to optimize processes, routings, and data integrity across ERP/MRP and CAQ systems.

The successful candidate will lead cost analyses, collaborate across engineering, production and planning teams, and coordinate with external vendors to align supplier processes with internal models. A strong process documentation background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering, production systems or related role.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, process documentation and product routing.
• Experience with ERP or MRP systems, KBM experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, controlled manufacturing process documentation in line with quality, regulatory and internal standards.
• Create and maintain product routings in KBM to reflect current processes, resources and lead times.
• Support migration of process documentation and manufacturing data into CAQ systems with version control and data integrity.
• Lead the QRB process to assess manufacturability, cost feasibility and production readiness for new products.
• Develop detailed cost analyses covering labor, materials, equipment and vendor contributions.
• Coordinate with external vendors to assess capabilities and integrate supplier processes into internal routing and costing models.
