Job summary

The candidate must have flexibility to work at or between North Wales and Harleysville locations, with a focus on accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
  • 1 year of inventory experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • OSHA10 certification preferred or required for site access.
  • CPR certification preferred.
  • Forklift certification or training required or preferred.
  • AutoCAD experience is a plus.
  • Must complete additional background screening as required.

Responsibilities

  • Sort, distribute, and store components for job assignments.
  • Prep and package materials for shipment or transfer to sites or vendors.
  • Prepare accurate labeling for shipping.
  • Move, unload, stage, and store materials using lifting equipment.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Assist with metalwork handling and sheet metal tasks.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
  • Assist with routine shop and equipment maintenance.
  • Cross-train to support other sections as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

This role involves receiving, storing, picking, packaging, and shipping products while adhering to company policies and procedures. The employee also exercises document control and creation, packaging, and preparation for shipment or transfer to company, vendor and client sites. Other responsibilities include routinely interfacing with internal and external stakeholders and supporting production efforts as needed. The incumbent MUST have flexibility to work at or between locations in North Wales and Harleysville.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

The following list of responsibilities is not all inclusive, additional projects and/or tasks may be assigned to meet operational needs. MCG retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position should operational needs warrant.

  • Sort, distribute, shelf/store components received for job assignments.
  • Prep and package materials for shipment or transfer to other company sites or vendors.
  • Prepare accurate labeling for shipping.
  • Move, unload, stage and store materials utilizing lifting equipment such as forklift trucks and pallet jacks.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts.
  • Assist with assembling metalwork and the handling of sheet metal goods.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Assist with routine shop and equipment maintenance.
  • May be required to cross‑train, supporting other sections of the Company.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Able to pass certification for the use of lifting/moving equipment such as a pallet jack and forklift.
  • High dedication to quality of results to avoid rework.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1 year of previous inventory experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Other preferred certifications (must be willing to undergo training provided by DVM if certifications not already held):
    • OSHA10
    • CPR
    • Forklift experience and/or certification
  • AutoCAD experience, a plus!
  • Satisfactory completion of additional background screening.
Physical Requirements
  • Typical of a manufacturing/warehouse floor. May be cold in winter, warm in summer. Noise level commensurate with machine operation, forklift trucks, general industrial activity.
  • Possess basic tools including gear wrenches, impact gun, torque wrenches, metric & standard sockets.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, squatting, kneeling may be necessary. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to read, understand basic schematic/blueprint. Must be able to communicate effectively using phone or computer software.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the assigned facilities.
  • Must be able to travel between MCG locations as needed; some travel could require overnight stays.
